ANONYM WITH PROXYS
Why should I use another proxy server ???

(Nearly) every provider has an own, so called proxy server, a cache speeding up the internet. This cache is made for the users of the provider. The most providers who offer a proxy server, close them for the public, but some of these proxy servers can be used by everbody.

Use the proxy servers at your own risk!!!
Some providers maybe don't want that you to use their proxy server.

Anonymity
Using the proxy of another provider is anonym because it's hard to identify you. If someone wants to find out who you are he has to ask the provider of the proxy and this can be difficult when the provider is for example in the far east. It's much work to get you but if you do something really bad they will get you.

Faster ???
If you get "connection timeout" on some pages or only slow connections, where you can count every single byte, you can try one of the following proxy servers. Some of them could be faster than the proxy of your provider. So you can get a faster, more anonym internet connection for free.

Public
Some of the proxys are public, that means that everybody is allowed to use them. You have no permission to use the other proxies. If a proxy is public it is mentioned as extra comment.

I get no connection to a proxy from the page. There can be a few reasons for this problem:

- Your provider want that you use his own proxy, because its a FreeNet which is financed by advertisements which put in after you view some pages. Or your provider censores some pages which you would see with an other proxy.

- You are behind a firewall or in a LAN ... where you have to put in the proxy-field the WWW-Proxy or Gateway of your company or of your provider to get outside the LAN.

How to change ?  Netscape 4 or newer.

Get to the menu-point:
EDIT
PREFERENCES
ADVANCED
PROXYS

Now you can either put in Manual the proxys with MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATION or you can put the location of an Autoconfig-File (.pac)
